It's this simple: Tell him you miss your old dog so much and now you need another dog to love and care for. (Which obviously, you do.)

If he insists on a Black & White view of things, may I suggest a Border Collie puppy?

They're high maintenance, but they are SO worth it. I'll bet the farm that within a very short time, he'll be just as much in love with your new baby as you are.
:)

Wishing you all future happiness - with whichever lucky dog ends up with you as an owner...

Get a dog. Adopt one from a shelter....or adopt a puppy at the shelter. Dogs are comforting. I have 3 and would be totally lonely if I didn't have dogs.....

No need to turn hubby around....JUST get one!

Take him into a room full of cute lill puppies. Just get the dog! Eventually he'll grow to love em!

Try getting a good reason why he doesn't want a dog.
