Yes, I think it's more to do with the feelings of sickness. I had to eat little and often in the 1st trimester because the moment my stomach was slightly empty, the sickness would get worse. That faded at around 14 weeks. It's now, at 24 weeks, that my hunger had increased, alot!

I had that same thing happen to me with my second pregnancy. If I did not eat when the first hunger pain started then I was sick to my stomach and dizzy. I almost passed out in a Target store once! It did pass after the first couple of months.
Good luck!

Absolutely, there is increased hunger. You are eating for two. Your body is working hard to nourish the baby. Eat healthy foods and make sure there is food in your stomach at all times. Keeping crackers by your bedside will help you in the morning since you won't be eating while you are sleeping.

I did until morning sickness hit. My husband insisted that I eat something when I felt sick, and he would go into the kitchen and fix whatever he thought I would like. He always knows when and what to feed me. If you can't stand a full meal, just graze and snack on food throughout the day. And eat whatever appeals to you. I have had bad morning sickness with this one, and my doctor said to just eat whatever I can tolerate for now.

My first one was like your first and the second was a lot of hunger, and too many cravings...eat some crackers...more, soup, crackers...fruit...nothing that will send you over high end...no just kidding...I gained about 55 lbs with my sec...but if your stomach feels ill, and you have morning sickness...You really need to drink more fluids...I have heard that being pregnant, and have morning sickness that is a sign of dehydration....so lots of water, some juice, decaf tea (tea is also great for upset stomach)...but lots of water...
Congrats....Good Luck..=)

Yes, it's commom. With baby number 5 all I ate was cake. Gained a ton of weight and have lost it all as well. Sometimes an empty stomach made me sick. Everyone's different. Good luck!
