I am doing one project. In that I have to count the number of lines in the text area. I used the line count method of JTextArea class. But it only display the number of lines. but I have to display the line number of where my cursor is. please help me.

It sounds like you already know the answer to "how to count number of lines in the text area in java?" - but that isn't your problem. You need to find the _current_ line. I don't know the answer to this, but I have noticed that this isn't the first time you have posted this question. Perhaps if you posted the question which you actually wanted answered you might yield more useful results :)
