The movie time and again reiterates that Prity Zinta is not giving enough time to the family. If we reverse the situation and imagine a male not giving enough time to family and spouse blaming him at every given opportunity even when the male is trying to compensate for it and is in a happy mood, would we say that its female's fault. honestly i thot the movie ws pathetic and i feel bad that after watchin the movie i help add more onto karan johars monetery assets...the problems priety zinta or rani mukherjee faced were both easily solvable and cheatin is never justified...in prietys case also it dusnt happen with each n every working woman in the world...if u have an understanding husband wats the hassle but if u knw u were gonna get married to an egoistic **** then u really shudnt have bothered tyin the knot...but if u realise wht the chaps like after gettin married the best u can do is either tell him to go get a job and get off ur back or just sit down n explain to him wht r ur views on the issue...

Preity's character even make the point that you are making, that if she were a man, no one would think twice about the sacrifices she's making. Her character reflects the current trend in America as well; parents are choosing not to work so much so that they can spend more time with their children. Working parents are not employees first any more. Most families in America have both parents working and we are seeing a real increase in social problems because no one is being the parent. Husbands and wives are both too tired to worry about the kids. That's also why we are having an increase in married couples not having children, because they know that they cannot successfully work and parent.

It is a great movie portraying the practical life of the 21 st century.
The time to put blame or trying to reverse the situation , even hypothetically is not fair to either of the sexes.
