In the court, lawyers while pleading refer each other as a "my learned friend". What if one is a female ? Can we refer her as "my learned girlfriend" ?

You should not address anyone other than your girlfriend as your girlfriend. Friends of the female sex can be referred to girl friends. Notice the difference? What's more, learned is a fancy way of saying that someone is educated, thus you can refer to anyone with an education as learned. Make sense?
