Elton John?

Anything is possible, but as the little buggers who killed off the other guys were so far back in history, and as the people they killed are still dead (and presumably they killed the heirs as well or there would have been an uprising long ago) it's hard to believe there is anyone in that direct line who would be eligible for the throne today. However, maybe before Charles gets to sit in the hot seat, someone will appear. hallelujah! There is hope after all!!!

With the coronation, Queen Elizabeth became the rightful sovereign despite her DNA. Yes, Edward VIII was king and abdicated, thus making his brother, Elizabeth's father, the king. However, the linage goes further than that. Elizabeth's linage goes back to the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, which was the estate name of Queen Victoria's (Elizabeth's great, great grandmother). Victoria's father, the Duke of Kent, was not only a huge masocist, he was also the son of George III of the House of Hanover. The controversy comes in from the Act of Settlement of 1701. According to this act (signed into law by Parliment) no Roman Catholic could become King. You see, King William III was childless, and the successor would have been James II (the deposed Catholic King) and his son, James Francis Edward Stewart). So yes, the Stuart line claims some hold to the throne; however, parliment made their claim void and thus, Elizabeth II is the rightful Queen. God Save The Queen!

Perhaps it might be some man, a descendant of the Stuart dynasty, who might be a Roman Catholic King.

If you are thinking that the line is totally untarnished, DNA might be one way to prove it.

Of course, in the early and middle ages there was intrigue, etc. And what about that terrorist, William of Normandy? If it were not for him, perhaps we would still have a King of the Anglo-Szxon line on the throne of England.

Or if we followed Tanistry, who might be on the Throne of Scotland?

However, Her Majesty is our Liege Lady and undoubted Queen. Don't you remember the "Election" before she was crowned?

Our Sovereign Lady, Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

Yes that is how folk get to be King, not Proportional Representation or the recommendations of the Future King Appointments Committee but hard graft and being the Best Choice out there.
As regards whether the true "King" or "Queen" is out there begging I hardly think so, common sense dictates when you depose someone by force you wipe out all the relatives to stop em making a comeback, look at the **** up over charles the first and charles the second.
Anyway looking at the hours she has to put in, the lifestyle and the folk she has to deal with who would want the Queens Job, The beggar can at least please herself what she does and wears without having to consult her dresser , Transport manger etc.
Only bit of time tthe Queen gets off is when she goes racing with her mates , even then she has to parade round in some old carriage waving to the punters, what a life, and everywhere she goes folk stare at her and sing God save our Queen, they even scrapped her boat so she has to hire an old ferry for her summer hols.

Nope Queening aint what it used to be.

Channel 4 traced a women in Australia, a couple of years ago, who was shocked that she was the direct descendant of the royal family before the house of hanover took to the throne.

She wasn't interested in coming to England to challenge for the throne.

It's gotta be Elton John with George Micheal as Vice Queen. But whoever it is Lizzy is not the rightful Queen. She may be frightful but certainly not rightful.

The Queen only became Queen because her uncle Edward Abdicated so he could marry Mrs Simpson.. QE2's father then became King George..and so on... If it is Benders you are on about ..its a 4 way tie between Elton - George - Winton - Geoffrey (from Rainbow)

King Edward VII was forced to abdicate in 1936, allowing his brother King george VI (Queen elizabehts father) became King, resulting in Elizabeth becoming queen, whereas she would never have been if Edward had not abdicated. So it should have been Edwards Son or Daughter that is king or queen at the moment
