Would gluing it help???

Don't bother yourself about that! The only reason ppl invented that superstition was cuz back in the time of the Pharaohs, mirrors were really expensive and only the nobles could afford to own one. They then invented this superstition so ppl would avoid breaking mirrors.

That's it!

I didn't think that anyone believed in this one anymore but if you do you have cast your own curse. Nothing that anyone can say will stop you from believing that you will have the seven years bad luck until they provide you with a way out.
Loads of crap suggestions that won't help you at all!
Picking up all the pieces and burying them? Good one, but how can you be sure that you have picked up all the pieces?
Forget it, it probably the best suggestion! If you can't and need something to do then................
Take one of the larger fragments of glass and wrap it in newspaper - as close to the date that the mirror was broken as possible. This will hold both the reflection and the timing.
Put the wrapped glass in a safe place that will not injure anyone.
By doing this you have taken control of the situation and you have the power.
It still is only superstition, but by carrying out these acts you will have taken control.
It's all in the mind - let your mind be free!

This superstition comes from the romans. They believed that you broke your soul when you broke the mirror, because the reflection traps part of your soul. As it takes seven years for your soul to heal, apparently, you get the seven years bad luck. If you believe that, then you might be able to find someone to heal your soul faster?

Of course, it could just as easily be a pile of rubbish. Depends on your level of belief, I guess. Oh, and by this logic, if you weren't looking in the mirror at the time, you're safe enough!

Hope this helps.

One way to reverse the jinx would be to send money to a certified jinx fixer (a CJF). I received my credentials several years ago and have helped several people with this dilemma. My jinx fixing charges are reasonable. Depending on the size of the mirror, the number of shards, and the age of the mirror, you should expect the cost to be between $75 and $200. When you amortize that over seven years, it is a bargain.

Let me know if you are interested in the services, I will need a credit application, a filled out questionare, payment in advance, three letters of reference, a background check, a driving history record (you will be driving me around and I only go with safe drivers), a photo or video of your guest bedroom (plan on me staying for about a week), and finally, a listing of the four and five star restaurants in your area (you will be expected to take me to several of the finer restaurants during my stay). Other than that, its pretty easy....

I saw a t.v. show where a girl broke a mirror and she was told that she can go through seven hrs of bad luck. So maybe u can have 7 hrs of bad luck rahter then 7 yrs.

But remember it's just a old wives tale and we make our own luck happen and if u believe in this too much u will have bad thing happen because ur gonna make it happen

dear friend,
dont be superstitious .
if at all you want the meaning of that then believe me the meaning is as follows -

" Now you will have a new mirror,
so, a new look, new ideas, new of you you will see in new mirror,
new luck that will make you happy, healthy, wealthy.
all the bad and worse and horrors, bad luck have been broken in to pieces and gone forever with the old mirror . just forget and live ur life with full enthusiasm and positive attitude. For its your attitude that can change your world that makes the good things happen."

have wonderful life

What made you become a superstitious person in the first place?

My mother was very superstitious and I decided that I didn't want to be like her and be afriad of life just because she followed superstitions from my grandparents!!

Live your own life according to what you want to experience and belive in! Just because superstitions tell you its seven years bad luck when you break a mirror doesn't mean that its actually going to happen! Only by you believing in this nonsense, you are going to look for excuses for this to happen!

If you don't want bad luck for seven years, then don't believe that you will have bad luck for seven years because you broke a mirror.

Curses/superstitions only have power if you believe in them (kind of like religion).

Chill, its just an old wives tale and nothing to worry about, I broke the huge one we had in the lounge 2 years ago and since then we have been lucky enough to pay our mortgage off due to a windfall, have a dream beach holiday and at Easter were off to Australia for six weeks, never been this lucky in my life so maybe its good luck and not bad luck, hope you have lots of good luck.

Think of this, Every time a mirror is made, one is broke. It is broken into several parts to make other new mirrors. It doesn't bring bad luck, it brings profits!
