Why do we constantly obsess about time-keeping, the bus is late, "time is money" etc when it's probably leading us to an early grave?

Do all societies view time like this?!

I know that in Haiti they can't afford clocks so they estimate time. The concert starts 'in the evening', at nightfall, stuff like that. You go to work 'in the morning'. Living like that would destroy our economy and lives.

It is the bosses. You know what the Romans did. They had longer hours during the day in the summer, when their slaves and serfs could work the same number of hours but longer for the same rations.

In my opinion yes. The reason being ...time moves fast and life is short. There is paramount truth to the sayings that "Time is money", and "If you snooze you loose".
