I just wanna know whether bio-degradable plastic bags the same as compostable plastic bags? Do they take the same amount of time to compost if so. How long will it take?

No, bio-degradable just means that overtime the material will break down, could be 1 year or 100+ years.
Compostable will break down much quicker and is usually made of organic components.

No. Biodegradable just means whatever it is will break down into simpler molecules usually with the help of natural things like bacteria.
Compost is a soil ammendment that components may be taken into your plants as nutrients. It is usually made from plant remains (a few people will put in animal remains like fish too).
