When I went with my class on a school trip we stayed at the Tavistock Hotel. It is by Russell Square. I thought it was a good location. There is Euston, Goodge St, and Russel Square all tube stations within short walking distance. The British Museum is right there too. I really enjoyed my stay there it was very well cared for and the housekeeping was amazing!

My advice for a usual visit may well be Westminster Abbey (extremely go in for a marvelous hour or so), the London Eye with its impressive perspectives, take a ship variety the docks good on the attention to the Tower of London (do no longer forget approximately to do between the Beefeater excursions that are unfastened with admission- they are informative to boot as an incredible type of exciting! you're able to do all this in one million day. The London transport Museum, the British Museum, the Tate.... there are an incredible type of super museums, inspect what you're maximum attracted to and visit a pair. Buckingham palace may well be walked to from the area of the Abbey- that's in simple terms around the Thames from the attention. do no longer waste time or money on Madame Tussauds or the London Dungeon. Taking a excursion on a double decker bus may well be exciting as you will get on and rancid all day for one fare (on the excursion busses- no longer the city ones) yet we used public transportation and have been advantageous with that. final be conscious- equipment deal up- that's gonna be chilly in February!!!! My daughter and 5 year old grandson went over Thanksgiving for some days ( we had all long previous in could/June yet they wwanted to circulate back!) and that they have got been quite chilly then even! Have a magnificent time!!!!

I would recommend easy hotels, they are well priced (but more expensive than numerous hostels availiable), they offer a higher standard of privacy and cleanliness.

Otherwise for hostel accommodation you are spoilt for choice many on-line and all similar, be prepared to sleep in bunk-beds in a communal dormitory and que for the loos. Much more social though.

check craigslist london. They have cheap listing for inexpensive temporary stays in people's homes that will be much less than even the cheapest hotel. Or you can post what you need and see who answers. Also you should post the dates that you need since I might be able to help you.

I live in central, born and bred here. :D Anyway, there isn't really such thing as "cheap" in central london. You can try this Inn near Kensal Green Station. Lots of young tourists stay there.
