Try to sleep on your side and hug a body pillow.
It could be hard because when you're resting, the baby is awake. You can try taking warm bath to help you relax before you go to bed.

I am exactly 22 weeks = 51/2 months, and as you can see I am already up! I have been up since 4:00AM., took a shower and did my hair.. I slept for three hours and then I was up... I spoke to my doctor and she said that this is normal and that even if I am not sleepy I should stay in bed for as long as I can so my body could rest and she also said that it is okay to simply get up from and do something... I know it hard as we have to work the next day, but I do not think there is much that we can do really, trust me I have tried asking everyone including professionals. At times the baby be moving at 1am and I woke up and never go back to sleep. What is the baby doing up at that time anyway???? Moving around like it is daytime! Good Luck..

PottyDot's idea of pillow between your legs really worked for me, disturbed sleep tends to be worse if you are small and the baby is big. There's also that old wive's tale that disturbed sleep in pregancy is natures way of getting you ready for the lack of sleep that comes when the baby is born (but I'm not sure there is any way of knowing if this true)

My pregnancy was exactly the same and the worst thing was that it was the height of summer. I tried everything and nothing seemed to work. There is a consolation though, when baby makes it grand appearance you will be able too sleep again! I know how frustrating it is but it is definitely all worth it in the end!

Disturbed sleep! You want to be glad you're getting any sleep at all... I'm 38 weeks now, and haven't slept at night for months. I can drop off in the afternoon, but only sitting up. Perhaps if you're getting desperate you should try sitting instead of lying. I have PSD though, so the pain in my hips, groin and pelvis area is pretty unbearable in any position!
Best of luck...

I won't creep you out with the numerous targets i've got had... yet confident - creey, bizarre, outrageous targets are all somewhat trouble-free throughout being pregnant. you're no longer dropping your strategies!! do no longer watch frightening television and attempt to no longer eat for a minimum of an hour or so earlier you visit sleep at evening. in fact... take a heat bathe or do something to help your self to loosen up earlier mattress. that could help. stable luck & conratulations!

i had the same problem and found having a hot bath with lavender oils helped relax me and the baby. i also found soft music relaxing-althought the baby thought it was funny to dance to the beat.
i think i managed 2 weeks worth of sleep doing that. then i began having major cramping of the legs up to 30 times a night till the day the baby was born! i dont think ur find any one who had a perfect pregnancy and birth! it's all worth it in the end. good luck xx

There is a fantastic large long pillow on the market. I had to put a pillow under my bump, and between my knees. I think you should try to all you can not to be stressed about bedtime. Don't be fooled you won't get much sleep when baby arrives.

What happens is that after 5 months the child starts moving around inside the vigina. Now you have to sleep on the right side of shoulder with placing some pillow in between your legs, so as to ease the movement of the baby inside.
