I'm recommended to installed the file.exe attached to the msg to clean up. Is it safe to do so? Is it possible to contact yahoo admin to double check?

Okay I would shut down internet connection then run spyware and virus scans. If the site is saying you are downloading worms kill the connection. No internet the worm can't function. then it's easier to root it out.

dont install attachments form emails they could just be a posing hacker trying to insert a program into your system go to download.com and find free spyware and virus and all other forms of protection for your pc there. they also have programs to fix any possible errors you might have

SCAM! SCAM! This is just another way of spreading a virus. Never run an .exe file from an attachment.

I got one yesterday supposedly from Norton saying to click on the link - didn't do it as I trust my anti virus software and don't have Norton installed on my computer.

Yahoo doesn't send stuff like that, they will never send you exe files. that's a virus. If you want to scan your system use a genuine antivirus program.

do this:
download the latest yahoo toolbar
run the Norton anti-virus that come with the yahoo toolbar.

sometimes worms are referred to as messages with the same contents which are sent/emailed frequently. your pc might have a keylogger which is sending report to an email acoount

never do that. no yahoo will send any programms on your email. it's just a spam. also do not give any information request about u via personal email. it is also either scheme or spam

its a virus or a trojan. when yahoo contact you they use the suffix. admin@yahoo!, or answers@yahoo! <<< note the apsotrophe. delete the message.
