There are treaties in place to prevent another world war. Now that nuclear weapons are owned by so many seperate states, America doesn't want to lose its position at the top of the food chain. This would happen if they were to go to war in their current tumultuous position. Sleep easy, make sure you watch Jericho for an accurate representation of what I just discussed. It will make you feel relieved. Perhaps your town wont be destroyed.

Forget about all these politics that is going on now. Many countries have built a lot of sky scrappers and those who have not are trying to build, many nations have declared that they have nuclear weapons and we all know that many other nations have that capability but have not declared it open, so the politicians know the truth that, world war will mean NUCLEAR WAR, let me tell you, none of them is ready to do that. The highest thing they can do is to call themselves TERRORISTS and DEVILS in front of all the world, but I tell you, they will never engage themselves in any conflict in the form of a world war.

Some time there will be another World War because we never learn from history. But I don't think it will be because of the Middle East.

yes the time will surely come that all this will end but at the cost of the whole earth nd end will only be there if there this continues to happens more nd more of it.Wellllll yes the world would see more terrifying images of what it had seen the past the whole world in war:men,women,children too nd old people all involving in war,some fighting for their country nd others for survival(which is least possibilty of surviving after all that will happen) and dear wat do u expect people to learn from their lessons nah people hav never understood nd never will(i doubt if ever they will)

Nope. The US is the only superpower and it's only enemies are desorganized. They can create riots but no war.

China may become a superpower as well but they have never had global ambitions.

Europe may become a superpower but it's ties with the US are too strong to start a war against the US.

totally agree with you;

"if we know nothing about history, we are bound to repeat its errors." Ernst Gombrich

however, recently, governments have been resorting to differnet measures other than wars (except for afgan and iraq). mostly assasinations, sactions, coups, financial indepting...etc
