Also do you have a favourite?

I have BBC1 BBC2 ITV Channel 4 and FIVE.

there seems to be lots of reality programmes. ie: "Wife Swap", "American Wife Swap" "Super Nanny", "How Clean Is Your House", " You Are What You Eat", one about how to train your dog, and more annoyingly that Nikki programme, there is one called Skint, one about taking control of your teenage kids, loads of make-over shows etc

What do you think of the fact that there is so many of them, shouldn't there be more comedys/dramas/ or other/ instead of shows that are cheap to make? Considering there are so many adverts which the TV companies get a fortune from i dont understand why the TV companies cant splash some cash on a few good programmes with real actors in rather than just the general public!

This whole 'reality' concept is ridiculous. Big Brother started as a social/psychological experiment, and I think the first couple of series worked well, but it's just become a freak show. As for Wife Swap etc, it's just sensationalist TV at it's worst. And don't get me started on all these 'celebrity' reality shows - esp those on the commercial channels. They use proper z list (and below) people (not stars). There are a few of the shows I do enjoy - such as Strictly Come Dancing. Things such as X Factor get on my nerves as well. Whatever happened to bands and artists touring, building up a fan base rather than trying for instant success via a TV show and then disappearing off the face of the earth 6 months later. Then again, that's a completely different argument.....

They make so many of them becuase there is a huge demand for them. People seem to like seeing "celebrities" (and I use the word very loosely) making idiots of themselves. The worst surely had to be The Farm. What the hell was that all about? Lets all make a pact never to watch them again and hopefully when the ratings go down, the tv companies will get the message and start making "real" programmes again!!

Princess Nikki is the worst. Saw it last night for the first time. That stupid cow should be shot with a ball of her own dung.

Survivor was great. It hasnt been on for a few years but I thought it was excellent and I would like to see it brought back.

Yes - far too many reality shows on TV. Bring back good entertainment!

Celebrity Love Island has to be the worst show on the planet. Has been's who want to be inbeen's again that is if anyone can remember what the fig they did in the first place.

totally fed up with the reality shows now as so predictable as to who will win etc. I am waiting for "granny swop" "dog swop" "Cat swop" "child swop" "boil swop"!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring back good drama, comedy and proper entertainment programmes. BBC need shooting for the rubbish they put on at least ITV have good drama on a regular basis and do try to at least make Saturday night worth stopping in for.

The Surreal Life and The Real World(after season 5). Some shows were not meant to go more than 2 or 3 seasons let alone be repeated continuously. Programs got old!

Tv is getting worse and worse- i think they have gone way too far with big brother, i hate it now- and i'm a celebrity get me out of here, these all suck so bad! I do love how clean is your house and you are what you eat though, i think these are good because they make people realise things they didn't know before which is important (especially health)
They should bring back comedies and more dramas instead of stupid fake people who just want to get famous.

All of them are appalling. They only show that people are willing to debase and humiliate themselves just to appear on TV.

These programmes obviously attract sufficient audiences otherwise they wouldn't be made. It give the viewers the morbid satisfaction that someone is worse off than they are - let's face it, they don't make reality shows about well-adjusted, content and normal people.

Scrap them all and make some proper telly!

The absolute WORST reality TV show ever is . Flavor of Love, I hate flava flave and every single one of his band of skanks. He just goes to prove any crack head can get rich and famous being on tv (yes I am aware he had a music career back in the day) I'm just sayin! get over it people! oh and I forgot to mention the washed up broke *** losers on the sureal life. I hate reality TV and all the freaks on it. Die Greg Brady! LOL

Big Brother. It adds nothing to society except showing us how low men and women can go to achieve 15 minutes of fame. Its utterly a waste of resources and the fact that it is continuing shows a lack of creativity in production minds.

At first I liked most of them as I am curious about people in general, but after watching so many I decided that they are all rubbish and I would be better sitting in my local town centre where people are much more natural. I am currently studying Sociology as part of my university degree it is fascinating.
I still like how clean is your house though, how can people live like that, urgh it's disgusting.
