This one somewhat inebriated non-straight guy told me that I should try acting in Hollywood because I could play roles that Angelina Jolie plays. I look nothing like her, but he says there's something about me--especially my eyes--in that I could have multiple roles and play the "villainess" for example. Uh, if someone told you to try acting, especially in "villainess" roles because of your eyes, what would you think? Is this a compliment or not?

He's gay. I'm female. No sex involved.

You should lighten up. Are you upset because this guy told you you could be a villain, or because he was "non-straight"?
I don't see a problem with being compared to Angelina Jolie.... now if he said Billy Bob Thornton.... THAT would be a problem!

If this guy told u that u can play villainess role then he really thinks that u have the talent, looks and u r sexy enough to fit into the role. I am writting all these because normally the roles of vamps are played by those actor who are hot and beautiful and have acting talent as well. U have written that the guy is gay, so its obvious that he is not flirting with u or seducing u. And more ur eyes must be really beautiful if they r like angelina. Don't take these complements otherwise.

ya could be what he meant was that your eyes have that special x-factor,appealing & sensual.
i think you can take this as a compliment, being a villian normally requires versatile actors who are able to portay a wide range of emotions & not many can do that well
some people just aren't straightforward with their compliments
you can only take this as malicious if you see that this person is always putting others down

Be positive and take it as a compliment. It's not necessary for "villy" eyes to look crude or threatening. It can be sensuous and seductive too. Give it a try. You may become a great actress.

My experience has been that some inebriated (or NOT inebriated) homosexuals have a tendency to like to say off-the-wall things. Just ignore what he said.

He was obviously drunk and just sucking up . It means nothing at all get over it. You need to learn to just let some crap go in one ear and out the other instead of over analizing everything

baby girl, it's a compliment. if someone tells me that, it means that my eyes or look has some mysterious or in-dept appeal. angelina has the look of someone who is complex and intriguing.
just say thanks, next time you pass by hollywierd, you'll give it a try.
