Because the sight of a police car is so terrifying that it's much better to go 10 miles under the speed limit, for which you can't be ticketed in the city, than it is to go 1 mile over! I feel a sense of shock and awe when I see them, so I'm shuddering with admiration as I slowly creep by those shiny white cars with the flashing lights!

When you do go over speed limit, you automatically slow down when you see a popo, so even when you are goin a speed limit you brain cells automatically react that you should slow down when you see a cop.

its just a reflex action...cos they know they will be in hot water if they are actually goin over the limit!

guess its just reflex, and also they would want to 'behave' so they dont get the whole delay of being stopped and asked for license and registration please.. then only to be told - thanks have a good day after seeing that all is in order...
