When you are independent, have a career and keep your position, have and continue to improve yourself through formal and informal education, successfully raise your family (and that means your earnings provide all their needs), and you have the ability to choose to retire (or not), then you are a success in life!
Success does not mean great wealth or great number of degrees -- it means being able to survive and pass on to the next generation the comfort of growing up in your stable household, and launching them on the world, so they can do the same.

First I think you need to define "success" . Do you mean financial, personal,etc?
I think success on any level have a lot to do with your input and output.
You need to have an idea of where you want to be, know what is needed to get there and start working on it!!
So if you want to be financially successful at , let's say, 40 and you are 25 now, you have to begin working at it. Don't wait until you are 39 and then begin to panic!!

i dont think anyone can tell u how to successful because what works for one person may not work for the next. All i can say is to follow your dreams and dont let anything stop you. but remember u have to have the will and desire and effort to succeed in the things u do.
