please just be blunt and precise. I will not take offense. I'm doing this survey for my human sexuality graduate class. I have to write a paper on the reasons why we still circumcised and why it is much more common in the US. I already have all the hard fact info, aids rates, hpv and cervical cancer etc. I really just need personal opinions regarding womens and men's preference and how it feels different to the woman. If any man answering this has been circumcised later in life your opinion will be my pot of gold for this research. The reason i choose to use answers is because it is unbiased whereas all sites with like research on circumcision or either avidly pro or against circumcision. Thanks so much people

Circumcision originally was a part of the Hebrew culture. In today's times, circumcision is done to prevent infection. To be very blunt, there would be no difference in feeling because the tissue when erect moves back to expose the bulbous part of the penis. I don't like it simply because I hate for the precious little male infants to go through such trauma.

We had our son's circumcised because the thinking at the time was that if the father is circumcised the sons should be as a matter of identification with the father. I now think that is just more psycho-babble. Circumcision only has significance as religious importance to the Jews. No other reason to do it. Unnecessary pain for a child. If God (or evolution) put it there, it's probably best to leave it alone.
As far as sexual experience is concerned, I have had no reports of favor or disfavor from either women or men.

I was circumcised at age 15. Not my decision, I felt really ashamed, but I was in favor of it. Basically because when having an erection there wasn't enough space for it. I couldn't pull the skin down all the way. I liked it more afterward but it also felt better. As far as I remember it also smelled a lot less. No sexual experience before that.
I never thought that it should look like my fathers (circumcised) though.

The Bible mentions circumcision and the reasons for it. Most of the world's history revolves around a religious belief. And because traditions are passed down from one generation to the next, I believe that is why it's so widely performed. America was settled because of religious persecution... Maybe that has something to do with it.

i cant vouge for sexually feeling a difference but i can say the reason i had my son circumcised is because my husband is. sounds silly but its true. we felt the majority of males are and to not look like daddy or as he got older most of the rest of "the team" might give him issues. may be a little over protective but i figure the kids will find things to pick for i didnt want to give them something so personal to attack them on. good luck on your research!

Having been with both I prefer the circumcised. I find the foreskin to be cold and icky. Just my opinion. Female.

I agree that it is more of a cosmetic procedure than anything else. I can't vouch if it feels different because I've never been with an uncircimcised man.
