You can do both. You can also learn self-kinesiology. This is a way to ask questions and get answers from your own body. I've attached a web site that was referred to me and helped me a lot. Practice with this technique. The biggest thing to remember is when asking questions, you have to stay detached from the outcome so that you do not influence the results. I use kinesiology whenever I am trying to figure out which one from a list of possible remedies will benefit me the most. Please take responsibility in your own healing. It will benefit you in the long run.
You can also personally consult a homeopath, naturopath, chiropractor, aromatherapist, Reiki provider, sound energy healer, acupuncturist, or any one of a number of alternative and complimentary practitioners, to get the best answer to your question.

Hi!
Have a feeling that I heard this question before...
If it's Homeopathy (I assume you mean Homeopathy when you talk about Hypericum)
Ailments from injuries to Nerves:
Calendula, Hypericum, Menyantes, Xantoxyllum.
Ailments from injuries to Nerves, with great pain:
Allium Cepa, Arnica, Bellis Perenis, Bryonia, Calendula, Coffea, Curare, Glonoinum, Hypericum, Ledum, Magnesia Phos. Menyantes, Phosphoric Acidum, Phosphorus, Tarentula, Theridion, Xantoxyllum
Ailments from injuries to Nerves with jerking in the muscles:
Hypericum
Ailments... to Nerves that are lacerated with excruciating pains:
Hypericum
Ailments.... to Nerves with neuritis
Calendula, Hypericum, Stramonium
Ailments... to Nerves with soreness
Hypericum
Each of these different remedies can help you but you have to know the specifics. Hypericum is a general nerve remedy but if you want to get sensation back to a severed nerve, you should consider all the finer aspects of the problem.
Of course you could experiment with a dose of Hypericum, I would probably try MK (1,000K) three granules one time, let melt under tongue, do not swallow. See how it goes and go on from there. But as I told someone before (or was it you?) you need to go deeper into the problem and know a little more since more than one remedy could do the trick. And there is only one good one for your problem. The idea is to find which one!
The above list will give you an idea of all the choices you have. You could have a whole collection of keys but only one will exactly fit a specific lock...
Good luck, if you need help, give more specifics and I will try to help.
