ECW's Barely Legal! The first PPV from them and it was the best I have ever seen. I have it recorded. The wrestling is excellent. It isn't all blood and barbwire (although that is included at the end) it is a great show. I recommend it to everyone. These guys knew how to perform for the crowd! High energy, high impact! Gotta love it!

SummerSlam -- 1991.
I was 9 years old and I couldnt wait for the night to start.
One of the best wrestling display I have came across.... and I saw it LIVE!!!
The best match by far was Bret Hart V Mr Perfect.
There are a few matches in my life that have 'stood out'.... and I doubt you will see a display like that again.... not from the more commercialised WWE today!!
I was gonna post a youTube link to Bret Hart v Mr Perfect.... but I can no longer find it!!! Its been removed!!
All the best!!

It wasn't PPV but it was Ring Of Honour World Title Classic 2. CM Punk vs Samoa Joe in ANOTHER hour long draw. At about 45 minutes, the commentators pay it the ultimate mark out respect and abandon commentary saying "This match speaks for itself" and watch it as fans. At around 59:55 Joe hits the Muscle Buster but then the bell rings for the time limit. If you even dream of calling yourself a wrestling fan, YOU MUST SEE THIS MATCH!!!!!

in my eyes its a toss up between 'mania 17 and 'mania 20
17 had a very strong card (if you take out eddie vs test and the unintentionally amusing hardcore 3 way) featuring TLC 2, Undertaker Vs Triple H and of course the main event of Stone Cold Vs the Rock (which was one of the best and certainly most anticipated main events in history.)
20 was promised to be the granndaddy of all manias and on the whole it lived up to it. Despite a lame opener between big show and cena and a dodgy diva tag match, every match was of an excellent quality. However the main event was something else, HHH HBK and Beniot, 3 guys at the top of their game performing to the biggest ppv audience in history. Even a conservative wrestling fan like myself can confess to staying up till 5 am to scream my lungs out in support of the cripler!

Has to be Survivor Series 2001.
Simply awesome build up to the PPV, I remember it like it was yesterday. Austin turning his back on WWE and Angle as well.
Team WWF as they were called at the time was lead by The Rock, Y2J, The Undertaker, Kane and the Big Show vs Team Alliance lead by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, RVD, Booker T and Shane McMahon.

WM 17 would be my pick for being strong top to bottom. On the side, WM 3 is dear to me in its kick-*** old schoolness and WM 12 is basically a one trick pony, but that one trick pony (the iron man match) makes up the bulk of the show and is my all time favourite match. WM 20 I also enjoyed watching tremendously and warrants a mention.
Outside of Wrestlemanias, I'd say Survivor Series 96 for being top to bottom awesome.

For me it way way back at Summerslam 1992. Wembley stadium and in my mind one of the greatest matches ever. Bret 'The Hitman' Hart vs The British Bulldog. It helps that I was there of course. And I just loved The Undertakers entrance!!!!
