Write to the family of the deceased, c/o the company, and send it to the company. the company will forward it to the family.

The Company is not a person and should not be handled that way. The company did not suffer a personal loss, but the individual employees and family did.

The most appropriate and professional way to handle this is to send a sympathy card from you personally and send it to the family in care of the Company.

Also ask a contact at the company if there has been a fund created and consider a donation if this is the case.

DO NOT write to the company. Write letters to employees or directors that you know, individually. Write to the family c/- the company, individually and make that very personal - NOT sympathy in the context of employment.

Companies do not have feelings. People do.
