Why do the people on the show including the audience appear so uneducated and simple?

I think you would have to be to even consider appearing on that show. Sorry but its sooooo sad and depraved.

Hello!! :o) I think the Jerry Springer show is the worst show on TV. It's horrible. It takes very serious, often heart-breaking 'real life' situations - and makes fun of them. It teaches those watching it that it's OK to mock other people's misfortunes.
The fact that it's all fake - doesn't change that fact. Many people think it's real. But several of the 'guests' have appeared several times - as different people with completely different problems.
Only a simpleton would enjoy the show. [Which answers your question]

It's because they are supposed to act like that. The producers of the show find the people out there who are willing to get on tv and act the most ignorant, outrageous, trashy, etc. My bet is that in reality a lot of the people are not really as they appear on the show. Sure, there are people like that out there, but I bet at least 75% of the people who get on that show are acting. And I'm pretty sure they are told to fight with each other too so the bodyguards can run up there. It's all for ratings, but I personally can't even bring myself to watch the show very often.

It's really funny all us people in Australia, are wondering is that what Americans are really like. I am sure the normally sane Americans must be embarrassed. But we just think how could someone get up there on a T.V. show and tell the world , what they come out with YUK!

Jerry Seinfeld. i like Jerry Seinfeld and his teach "Seinfeld", yet i do in comparison to Jerry Springer nor his trashy (sorry i could no longer think of of a greater well-off yet precise description) communicate teach too plenty.

Because they are all morons. We all know if you get a call to be on the Springer show...it's not good news...how in the hell can they get these goons to act so surprised on the show? Because they are simple!

Actually, some of the audience members are educated.... they just like to WATCH the uneducated and simple.

its entertainment, the guests get a free nice hotel room and dinner, they arent real people. and the audience is fun. maybe if you took the giant stick outta your azz you might have some

well Im pretty sure its because........da da da daaaahhhhh, ITS THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!! and yeah, DO you know the muffinman??? that guy owes me sum heavy bread!!! lol, get it "bread"....ok ok so I know Im silly but it 5:40am & I still got a 1/2 hour on my shift, what would ya expect??
