Girl School was much better although Runaways produced more name artists. Joan Jett and Lita Ford both came out of the Runaways. Girl School was a female version of the "hair bands", heavy metal. They were very competent on their instruments. Lita Ford was still developing as a lead guitarist when she was in the Runaways. She wasn't that great.
I think Lita Ford is a domestic housewife and mother these days. I recently saw her on VH1 or Entertainment Tonight or a similar show.
