you cannot reduce the actual size, just the apperance, by keeping them clean. If you were to go to sleep with makeup on, it would go into your skin and not resurface for 28 days. So just keep scrubbing!

There are products on the market that claim to shrink pores, but the only sure way of reducing the size of your pores is to have some kind of acid peel, or microdermabrasion. This gently removes the top layers of skin, revealing more refined, fresher skin. Other than that, you could use a high quality face powder over your foundation to minimize their appearance.

I will suggest you some home remedies-
1. Use ice cubes all over your face where ur pores are big and open, do this for a week,
2. Use rose water..to tone your skin and keep it shiny
3. u cud even try rubbing half a lemon over ur face
Note:- do not use steam-it only cleanses pores but does not close it....
If it still persists then u can try cosmetic methods or meet a dermatologist

There actually is a way to shrink your pores! Just use a mud mask. You can get it at pretty much an cosmetics section of a store. It's not dirty, trust me. What happens is the mud dries up and it tightens your skin. It works for black heads and acne or if you just want to have a smooth and clean face.

I bought pore minimizer from Clinique, it is great! It doesn't only cover the skin and give it a matt look, it also make the pores smaller so dirt won't get inside.

toners only do temporary relief.first of all,you would need to control the oil production on ur face.to do that,u need to
:reduce ur intake of fried food
:stop using blotters,instead use tissue(dry)
:only do the 3 step twice a day, excessive leads to more oil production
:choose a suitable series of products for urself-usually no creams just lotions/gels
only then will your pores decrease in size! :)
