Anyone who has read the Koran, know that Muslims do not support extremest views. Those that have these views are not being true to the Koran therefore technically can be described as anything other than Muslims.

Muslims will never support democracy as demockrassy is the political arm of Christianity and Christianity is extremist.
George W Bush was not democratically elected, and that says a whole lot about democracy and why his "watch" has been plagued by what America still cannot understand.
Planet Earth and everything inside and outside of it belong to Allah Alone and reassurance will come from Allah.

I would put it slightly differently. it's not that the Muslims need to adopt a defensive attitude trying to persuade others they are not terrorists, it's the rest of the world that needs to understand that the unrest in this part of the world which happens to be Muslim is mainly due to unresolved political conflict initiated mostly by the western great powers of the past and perpetuated by those of today. In this context religion is used as a tool by extremists to motivate others in their ranks, but this tool would be useless if there were no real political reasons for unrest

What could the non-muslim community do to reasure muslims that they support democracy and are not extremists?
that they will not burn 5000 Muslim to death in Gujurat again?
that they will not tear down their mosques?
that they will not find pretences to riot against Muslims?
that they will not discriminate in job opportunities?
that they will stop burning their newly-wed brides?
that they will stop aborting female foetuses?
that they will treat women as equal human beings?
that they will not invade Muslim countries?
what?

exactly what you're doing. I would tell a group of muslims to tell another group of non muslims. If tell ten people, and those people go off and tell ten other people each. I've just helped tell 100 people that we are not extremists and we need to make sure non muslims understand this.

Reach out to the wider community and allow them to understand. Most of the problems arise from communities not understanding each other yet there are nice, decent people in both. Let them come together and begin a process of understanding which both sides can spread in their own community.

Gather all the Muslims of the world in one of the
Islamic country and fight it out among themself
and prove that the moderates are larger than the
extemists.
And through this process the extemists will be
wiped off and we will all live in peace ever after.
