We're told by experts to save costs, by turning central heating thermo down one degree and this will save us 10% on our heating bill.

Turning your heat down at night will save some on power bill.
But don't turn it off and then back on again all of the time because you not only heat the air. You have to heat all the materials in your home as well . So going to low or off will cost you more then if you leave it on and just turn it down.

Nope...its not quite that simple, you'd have to turn your central heating off to save 100% on yor central heating costs...and then your pipes might freeze and burst....

come on i been in the heating business for 46 years your experts are pulling your leg i'd be out of my oil and heating business
