she works at the school were he attends (he is in grade 12)& this is a sore point for him as he feels embarrased & ashamed. so i wanna know what is it like for these kids growing up and what are the challenges that they face & the way they go about tackling these situations. my character also finds himself torn between his mother & his new found friends as he wants to have a relationship with her but the friends that he has are rich & they basically get away with murder as there parents will pay to get them out of trouble & they expect him to participate in their actions & he does so because he wants to be seen as cool & he pretends that he is rich too. i also need an effective personality that is someone not necessarily famous who grew up like this so please help me. thanks

As an actor you must do research to find your character. You need to come up wiht ideas on how to create this character and make him believable.

You have a lot of work to do. It's part of being an actor. Get a notebook and jot down some notes. Also, read the acting books you had in school for help, if you need it.

Read some Althol Feugard plays & stories. This'll give you a view from a South African perspective, of the bad old days when racism was still rife (these days it's called Afermative Action)
