Through my sunglasses

Depends on the day.
All in all, life is the proverbial free lunch, right? You didn't do anything to deserve it and you don't have to pay for it. You were just born, you live, stuff happens, you eat all you can, and then you die. No obligations.
That feels quite wonderful some days. Everyday is a gift.
Some days, though, it just seems like a very pointless and cruel happenstance, especially when I see how other people and animals suffer.
But, all in all, my motto is if life is a free lunch then enjoy the food, share it with others, pass the salt when politely asked, enjoy the company, be good company, and don't chew with your mouth open.
And, as Frank Zappa put it, kindly leave a little tip and help the next poor sucker on his one way trip....

Pretty typical. Had some early drama(death of father) that changed the course of relationships(mother, grandparents, step father)that determined insecurities, patterns and actions that culminated in a lifelong habit of lack of commitment. Did all the basic stuff, but failed at alot. At mid life(or end of life depending)find myself optimistically pragmatic. Unsettled with several aspects such as job but very settle with others, such as relationships. Still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. I write the very same list of 5 things I want to accomplish in the coming year, and have not done those 5 things yet. Basically a common, middle aged, middle class woman. I wake up every morning happy to be breathing.

Wow! that's a good question! I see my life like a landscape over the seasons of a year. I have barren times( in terms of learning and growing) just like winter. I have awakening times ( where thoughts and ideas start to form and take root.).Just like springtime when trees bud out and flowers start to grow. I have periods of great growth that produces a wealth of knowledge, just like summer. I have a period of gathering and taking stock of all things around me where I get ready for the next adventure in my life just like the fall season.
In all of these times I have problems that come up, just like a tilled rock and times where I cant seem to get anything to work, just like an area that will not produce anything.
Does this answer your question?
