I wholeheartedly agree with you. Let's hope he pulls through. I've been watching the newa for updates all day and the latest is that he has significant brain injury but they're optimistic. I had the same and pulled through having died a few times so I'm hoping he will too. Should do, he's a little guy but he's got guts. Oh and fairy dust or whatever your name is - just shut up.

At the end of the day he new the risks and he took the chance. I think that perhaps a man with a young family should be a little but more careful but that is just my opinion. My only concern is that the 'you shouldn't be allowed to do that' brigade use this accidnet as way to try and stop people from doing this kind of thing. As long as it was his choice to do it and he was in posession of all the facts regarding what could go wrong I would defend to the hilt his right to do it even if I wouldn't have done it myself.
I wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the TV soon.

With regard to Steve Irwin, his death was tragic and caused a huge out pouring of greif from his legions of devoted fans. It wasn't really a great supprise however that he met an early end. I was just supprised that it happened in the way it did rather than in the jaws of a croc or by a snake bite. He was a serial risk taker and on one occasion put one of his children in a bit of danger too. That can't be denied. That doesn't take away from the fact that he was a great man with a heart of gold and will be missed by all his fans.

Rest in peace Steve

To compare the too is just stupid. I'm sure both the mens families love them just as much and after all, there the people that really matter not the fans.

Some jobs are dangerous and he, out of choice, does something he loves that is dangerous. It's very sad and I hope he gets better quickly as he's a brilliant presenter and I want him back on TV soon. Sending love and best wishes for a speedy recovery for him and strength to cope with the situation to his family. Get well soon Hamster.

it does not matter who got more sympathy than who....Steve urwin is dead....he died doing something he loved...OK he put his child at risk, i was appalled when i saw that, he was very irresponsible, and it should never have been televised.....on the other hand there's a well known motor presenter (Richard Hammond) hanging in the balance right now....lets just hope he makes it... have faith....lets not bicker about what dangers these people are putting themselves in, and who's done what...this man (like Steve urwin) was only doing his job, it can happen to anyone, we should all pray for his life...simple as

Yes But Irwin was an australian national hero and had a huge following in america also the dramaticity of his death created a lot of publicity.
Richard Hammond is well liked and i certainly hope he pulls through but he is not a humanitarian like Irwin and so he wont get such a huge frenzy about him.
Oh and he's not dead HE IS STABLE, Steve Irwin died and last time i checked death was a bigger deal.
Not that i dont like him of course hes an amazing presenter.

Why did "fairydust" decide to comment on this, when they have no clue who richard hammond is, yet feels informed enough to comment?
Both men deserved to be respected in their own rights. Weather dead or alive. Ranting about it wont change peoples opinions.

END OF.

if boys want to play with fast toys then they have to accept the fact that they go wrong sometimes,,
I dont think sdomeone with two young kids should be messing about with fast toys that he has not been trained or skilled enough to handle just so he can say i done it,
your not allowed to drive a fork lift truck without passing a course, yet this guy tries to drive a rocket at speeds upto 300mph,,
foolish selfish and very very silly..
having said that i wish him a spedy recovery and good health for the future..
