When viewed from above the North Pole, the earth rotates counter clockwise on its axis. Thus the movement as viewed from the equator is right to left, or east to west.

Earth is rotating from west to east only. Who says that it goes east to west. Wrong.
Thats why the sun seems to rise in east & travel to west & sets there.

When a polar switch happens (north pole becoming south and vice versa), ur wish may come true. It is in due.. may be in 10000 yrs .. but again, those idiots will rename "east" as "west" and viceversa ...u never know.
