What can i do now. I have seen a gyne specialist and have been told I am unable to take the combined contraceptive pill due to my high blood pressure issues. Also that progesterone only treatments are ineffective. I am at a loss as I assumme my chances are increased of experiencing further cysts. Is this also the case? The 2 on the left were drained laparoscopicaly and the 4 on the right drained internally with ulrasound guidence. Any advice, suggestions or similar experiences are appreciated.

There are other contraceptive pills that are effective in helping with ovarian cyst that don't have issues with blood pressure. Talk to your doctor about these medications, sometimes it has to be a combination of a couple meds to keep your blood pressure under control, but take care of the cyst. A total hysterectomy is not the answer for ovarian cyst, while they are painful sometimes, they also come and go. So talk to your doctor about your options, before giving up and having a hysterectomy.

i don't really have an answer for you but i can share what happened to me. When i was 14 (yes 14!) I developed ovarian cysts. I had no clue what they were when that happened. I just knew they were on my ovaries and were bleeding...making me have my period at least 2 times a month. I tried taking birth control to help reduce the size and control the bleeding but that didn't work. My doctor schedule to go in surgically and remove them but when she got in there. She didn't realize how enlarged they were. She ended up taking one entire ovary and part of my falop. tube. I have only developed 1 other cyst since then ( now 21) and luckily it went away. :) Just thought I would share with you !

you didn't mention if you are suffering from pcos, polycystic ovarian syndrome, which means many cysts on the ovaries, the only solution may be a hysterectomy, a complete one, sorry
