the polluting industries cause global warming. global warming causes ice melting (on the north and south pole) which causes floods (at the very least). polluting creates toxic gas that everyone breathes, including aforementioned politicians. even more, if the global warming process goes on as it does now, the entire world will go through a catastrophy within our lifetime! why is it that while the eu is struggling to get ecological, the americans are destroying all eu's efforts by releasing more and more toxic gas in the atmosphere? an atmosphere that we will all breathe. why don't they understand that we are talking about our lives? and by our i mean the entire humanity.

the pollution doesn't come ONLY from america, however one third of the polluting gas emitted into the air is emitted from the us. compare that to the surface of the us (as part of our planet) and you will understand why i am specifically picking on the americans.
and besides, while you can understand (sort of) poorer countries for not supporting very expensive clean industries, i can't understand why the us doesn't. they can afford it!

Yes climate change is due to man's actions (see reference below). You are also right to mention the levels of toxicity in the atmosphere due to polluting industries. There is a high level of ignorance concerning this issue outside of Europe, about 10 years ago a few scientists that were funded by oil corperations stated that global warming was natural and that highly funded exaguration has lived on . It is about as natural as a pop tart.
America will take a long time to catch up with the rest of Europe as they will still be able to survive economically without reducing their emmisions. They also have a huge reserve of oil and so it is in their vested interests to keep us using it. If they don't then they are throwing away money.
Their laws are not tough enough and only play lip service to the problem. The fact that emmisions in Texas have risen is a big example of this.
We as individulas do have a responsibility as it is our actions that fund business, if we buy as much local food as possible and cut down on unessasry car journeys, insulate our houses and consume less then we will not be funding so many polluting industries.
World economies are very precarious and they are being kept artificially going by our thoughts that we need to consume more and more. With just a few brain cells we can change this.
The floods in San fransico should have been a wake up call to the possible effects of cliamte change but alas it was lost.

They will not live forever. They want money. They want money now. Just like most people.
Besides, you forget that global warming...it's a sham.
Methane is 23 times as potent as C02. Just for arguments sake, search for "Volcano greenhouse gas emission" or something similar. You will soon see the lies of global warming.
Of course the earth is heating up...we are closer to the sun than we were 100 years ago!
There is no such thing as a perfect circular orbit. Remember that...it's possible, but about as likely as landing a bullet in a blender from 200 miles away.
Besides, the earth is not a perfect sphere, nor is our orbit a perfect circle...think about it.

It's not just "American" companies. There are companies in alot of countries that are producing the same said 'global warming'problems. The worlds problems do not rest solely with 'America' .

I fail to see the connection that you are talking about, The U.S. pollution laws are so tough, and stringent, that most manufacturing is now done in country's that have no pollution laws, THEY HAVE NO MONEY, so the last thing that they care about is their environment, The U.S.A has some of the toughest pollution laws in the world, (clean water act), (Clean air act) cars are extremely clean burning compared to years ago (computerized burn systems, Fuel injection, catalytic converters, etc).

You are lying. America is on the cutting edge of pollution controll. Greenhouse gasses are primarily the product of emerging third world countries. That means Eastern Europe , too. You are a typical America basher who comes armed with lies rather than the cold facts. bugger off.

Politicians are given bribe money by businessmen that is why they are doing nothing about their companies destroying the environment.

Because they own most of them. They may be silent owners, but nevertheless they own them. Their ownership is hidden in paperwork called corporations. The ones they don't directly own they take payoffs.
