G'day UR SANCHO,
Thank you for your question.
on March 18, 2006, Jerry Jones announced that the Dallas Cowboys had signed Terrell Owens to a 3 year, $25 million deal, including a $5 million signing bonus, with a $5 million first year salary.
Owens' new found career with the Cowboys drew much skepticism and speculation. The move by Jerry Jones was also very debated by fans in Dallas. Several fans voiced their dismay for towards Owens' signing on the official Cowboys website. Many of those fans were still angry and bitter over the star incident, where Owens famously "disrespected-according to fans" the symbol of the Cowboys.
Owens drew more controversy during the 2006 NFL preseason. After suffering injuring his hamstring, Owens was forced to miss a majority of the preseason. Owens later returned to the field during the Cowboys' 2006 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the game, Owens spearheaded the Cowboys' widereciever corp by recording 8 receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown. The following week, Owens damaged one of his finger bones, and was forced to leave the game. It was later determined that Owens would require surgery to correct the injury, and require to two to four weeks to recuperate. As the Cowboys have a bye, he could miss just the match against Tennessee. In fact Bill Parcells is hopeful he will be ready for the Titans. I am sure he will be keen to be ready for the Eagles.
Hopefully, Terrell Owens will justify his salary when he eventually returns. Otherwise there will be plenty of cheesed off Cowboys fans.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards

Because of the team aspect of football one player can never change a non-playoff team into a Super Bowl contender (something very different from Basketball). Sure if they have a good team they don't need him, but if he plays like he did to help Philly out in his first year there, the Cowboys will sure want him around. His prescence will take the defensive pressure off of Glenn and Witten, as well as open up the running game for a oft-injured Julius Jones. There is more to football than just box score statistics, although I will admit that if the Cowboys make the playoffs WITH Owens, they probably could've made it without him.

I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. I do not want him on our team. He is not worth all that money and all that time. I would want him to get hurt and the Boys go all the way without him to prove we dont need him. But there is one good thing about having T.O. Now that takes pressure off Julius Jones and Terry Glenn. Jones can get more passing yards and same with Glenn. Dont forget Jason Witten. But still, i dont want T.O

He may not be out at all, according to SC this morning.
And yes, if Dallas wants to get into the post season they need TO.

Not impressed with T.O. at all. No, we don't really need him. (I still haven't forgotten how he dissed the Star at mid field when he was with San Francisco a few years back.)
Go Cowboys!!
