Normally you would go online through your available internet connection. That of course depends on what kind of connection you have (dial-up modem? cable modem? DSL? wireless?).

Then depending on that type of connection you have available, does your G4 have the appropriate networking capability (a phone jack for DSL/dialup, an ethernet port for cable, a wi-fi card for wireless).
