How do I save my audio that I create in 'Sound Recorder' to mp3s?

When I save my files from in there a 30 second clip saves as a .wav file which is several MB.
Should I use a different program to record in, or can I save them to that format in there?

Change the file type from wav to mp3 before recording.

Sounds recorded using Sound Recorder are in WAV (uncompressed) format. Thus the size of couple of MB's for only a short recording. To convert from WAV to MP3, you need some MP3 converter.

Nero can encode audio files. Look in the Extras Menu. And changing the file extension from .wav to .mp3 won't work.

hmmmm well dats not a big probleb u will have to set da format before u record da song well dat not a big after also u can change da format by re recording da song by changing da file type ..dats all u get da type of format u need , u need to have a softeare for dat u need to have a jet audio software in which u have a option called RECORDING indat u can change da file before only and save dat file.
