On with the Gortex coat and out you go walking through the countryside in the rain. The fresh smell of the rain, everything looking so clean etc.
Does anyone else like it? Or is this a uniquely British thing?

Is that seriously a 'British thing'? I mean, do Brits, by and large notice the rain and grab thier coats to go enjoy it?
It very well may be. I honestly dont know anyone here in California that yips for joy when it rains, though you will notice people acknowledging that its a good thing for technical reasons, such as beating down some of the smog. watering gods lawn and reenforcing us from our constant brush fires. etc.

I hate being in the rain! the smell is nice and soft rain falling on the roof makes for a good night sleep, but I can't stand being in it.
Must be a british thing

NO I worked all my life outside in the rain so I dont wish to go out walkies even though the dog does and yes it is a British thing do you get a choice?

I don't mind it, as long as it is not windy at the same time, especially out in the countryside, well probably is a British thing we always have the rain.

Well I'm from Australia originally and I have often dragged my scouser husband out in the torrential rain with the golf brolly for a walk. I think its a great way to burn off some energy in the evening.

I like walking in the rain especially if your with a hot guy cos you both seem to get turned on at the thought of them all wet. Unless me and my friends are just weird.I love kissing in the rain, dont know why but it seemed romantic!

Well if you like the rain you'd love Ireland today - its pissing down outside! As for walking in it - no ta, after spending about a half hour straightening my hair the last thing I need is for it to frizz up.

I used to enjoy it but now that I live in the rain forest without a car, it's getting old fast.
