First of all... It's a bad idea when being in front of 1400 girls to be thinking to yourself, "Holy ****! I can't believe I'm in front of 1400 girls and I'm about to speak to them!" That's the way wrong way to think about what you're doing. The right way is to find importance in what you're about to say and feel committed to sharing that information with people. If speaking in front of people frightens you then when you speak aloud try to pretend that you are alone in the room and are merely speaking your "notes" aloud to yourself. It works for me. Take care and good luck. Remember that nobody likes speaking in front of people. Therefore take comfort that everyone will be giving you alot of credit for speaking publically. You have a fan club already so take joy in that.

Asking what to do is the first step. If you are afraid of your voice over the microphone all you have to do is get comfortable with it. Take time to practice talking on a microphone. Make sure your mouth is 10 inches away from the mic. When you speak, there should be a person at the sound booth who will adjust the volume so you are heard clearly. No worries. Just do it!

Be confident in that you know your subject. Don't worry about the mike. Just pick out a few girls you can see well and talk directly to them. Then look farther back and talk to those girls too. Project a bit, but don't feel you have to shout. Breathe deeply before you begin and speak from your diaghram. Remember that fainting is not an option! Good luck. You'll be fine.

Stare at the back wall, and pretend you are alone. Nobody will know, and it works.
