DO:
to perform (an act, duty, role, etc.): Do nothing until you hear the bell.
to execute (a piece or amount of work): to do a hauling job.
to put forth; exert: Do your best.
to deal with, fix, clean, arrange, move, etc., (anything) as the case may require: to do the dishes.

DOES:
to create, form, or bring into being: She does wonderful oil portraits.

do and does are used for questions and negatives when only a full verb exists in the positive statement. Does - third person, singular indicative present tense of do. Do - plural nouns.

Example:

does a sentence end with a noun?
does the sentence make sense?
Does your friend like to play basketball, after school?

do you like to go to school on Monday?
Do your friends like to play basketball in the school yard?

The word "do" is used with you, I, we, and they. "Does" is used with he and she. Like "I do love fishing" or "they do know how to dance" or "he does smoke crack a lot". "Does" is also used with object. Like "this wallet does make happy." I don't know much about english litature, but I do know that.
