Yes ,it is the old Persia ,the center of the empire conquered by Alexander the Great , nowadays the place where was the famous hostage crisis in 1980,the famous Iranian Embassy Siege , and the most important , the place where to the end of WW2 the three big leaders of the world,Roosevelt ,Churchill and Stalin have shared the world in economics and political areas and the East Europe was doomed till the end of the "Cold War" , when again the biggest political leaders meet , this time in Malta,Mediterranean Sea.

This is a subcategory of "Travel". Who wants to travel to Iran or Pakistan (ok, excepted for a few wannabe terrorists, but I would say better not to provide help to these) ?
It is not a big travel destination, so this is why it is not listed in the list of countries here I guess.

No, Iran is not in Asia, it's in the Middle East. Around Iran, there's Iraq, Syria, and so on, I believe. I can't add those countries because I am not a webmaster nor the owner of this website.
