I like to watch "psychic witness" on discovery channel where the psychics help forensic detectives solving crimes. it's incredible. but I’m wondering why all psychics are women? Mostly old ladies.

They are women because always women are more sensitive to strange phenomena and also because they believe in supernatural(many men would dismiss it as poppycock even if they felt some kind of presence around them).
They are old becoz the older you get, the wiser you become and you can interpret your feelings better.

There are many, many psychic men, but you are right, a good majority are women. Women, as a rule are more in touch with feelings, so as a rule, men try to stay as far away from them (feelings) as possible, and do not open themselves to experiences that way. When you close off feelings, you completely close off any hope of psychic revelations. So, basically, American men cut off their possibility of psychic experience because of machismo. If you look towards other countries where the men are encouraged to feel (for instance, asian countries), you will see that there is much more of a balance of male and female psychics. Another intersting point, American male psychics are often gay or if they are straight, they are or were at one time, social outcasts.

I use to not believe that phychics exist. After watching news shows about them and reading about them, there are too many things that they knew not to believe they are real. Even in biblical times there were phychics. Joesph was one. Its a gift from god I think. As to all of them being women, I do not think that is the case, I think they are in all cultures and both men and women. Both the United States and the Russians used what they called remote viewers.

Well, according to my knowledge, this really dates back to the time when women had nothing better to do. They would do such thing to impress men, and in the meantime make easy money off them because men were so ignorant back then that they would believed anything, especially from women. The trend carry to this very day...
Actually you brought up a good point. It would seem that way, especially when it's being portrayed on t.v. Quite frankly I don't know why it is the case. Must be a women thing.

Psychics are phonies. Do you really think if someone had such abilities they would limit themselves to being poor (or at least not rich)? They are in the same classification as faith healers and witches. Why aren't faith healers in the hospitals and clinics? And if witches really have powers why aren't they ruling the world? It's all a scam. And I'm ashamed to say that not all psychics, etc., are women.

I think its because women like talking about REAL life situations more than men. Women seem more empathic, in which, if you beleive such a thing, results in a better understanding of the situation around them. I dont really beleive in esp or anything like that, I just think it has to do with a skill in listening and exposure to the incidents. That is soo not fair. Guys are pyschic too...I should know...or knew...anyway
Women are more inclined to be in touch with their intuitive side. Everyone else is DOING everything else around them, so it leaves them the othe option which is to feel. Its actually very simple...but not only women are pyschics...just most are actively ones...and I know of ones that aren't old ladies either who live with many cats and make beef stew in huge cauldrons.
