Higher volume with the same surface area. Reduced gas transfer. Less oxygen to your body.

Biconcave shape allows the RBCs to pass through blood capillaries with smaller diameter, without breaking, any change in the shape of RBCs cause increased hemolysis of RBCs leading to Haemolytic anaemia
