I am a female.... please help..
I have some unknown lump on my vagina, at the opening of the birth canal. What could this be? It's not genital warts or anything like that and i've only been with one partner. It really hurts and i'm too nervous and embarresed to go to a doctor. I want to have a baby, will this hurt my chances of having a child? Whats going on with me? I'm scared.

You really need to have this checked by a gynecologist. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Go to a female doctor...sometimes that's more comfortable than a male doc

Bartholin's cyst. It's just on one side, right? And hurts like hell? And the size and pain keep increasing?

If it sounds like that, that's probably what it is. What I recommend for this is jump into a hot tub, and stay in as long as you can. When you get out, use a heating pad, or some form of moist heat on the area. Just be careful not to burn yourself. Then get back in the tab, and repeat the process until that bad boy bursts.

Once it does, it won't hurt as much, and you can squeeze it to release more of the fluid. Get as much out as you can.

THEN go to the doctor.

I've had several of these over the years. For my first one, I went straight to the doctor. I waited so long that it was excruciating. He said he was going to squeeze it. I asked for a shot or something, and got a shot in the crotch! That was just as painful, and didn't reduce the pain of the scalpel and subsequent expression of the cyst.

That's why I recommend treating them at home, and seeing a doctor afterwards. They may want to prescribe an antibiotic to take care of the infection, so it is good to go.

If this is your first, you may get others (sorry to say). If it seems as if you're going to get a lot of them, you'll want to talk to your doctor about treatment - word catheter, marsupialization.....

it is unlikely that you can see as far as the opening of the birth canal as its buried away up where its hard to see,
I think you might mean at the bottom of the canal almost at the vagina itself, if thats correct you might have dicovered your clitoris i dont mean to sound as if your thick or anything but without talking to someone its hard to decide how much you know about your own body,
it could also be a small cyst that has become inflamed, im afraid you might have to go see a doc just to make sure, you dont have to go to your own, go to a clinic who specialise in womans problems,
as for effecting you haveing a baby i would say with confidence there is no chance of that happening.
try not to worry but go see a doc just for peace of mind,,
good luck

you should really see a doctor. this could be just an ingrown hair that got infected. or a cyst. or a swollen gland. A doctor can help with any of these. If you want to have a child, you should get these things taken care of first.

I agree with everyone else. See an OB. It doesn't sound like a sist of any kind because it's so close to the canal but only they would know. See one quick so hopefully they can catch it before (and if) it will cause any permanent damage. God bless.

It is probably just a cyst of some kind.
Although it might be embarrasing, you should go have a doctor look at it, and decide if it should be removed, or if it is some kind of abcess that can be treated with antibiotics.

Just go to a lady doctor....
Dont be shy...
They are there for us....
Who else are they there for???
Seeing these kind of things is their daily routine....
So be a good girl & go to a doctor....

Do u think it is better to go to a doctor at the last stage???
After all u will have to go to them ,be it now or be it at the last stage from which u cant return...
So better be going....

If you're worried (and you are) you should see your doctor. We've seen and heard it all, so there's no need to be embarrassed.
