Yes, my Dad recieved a back injury while working for a major company. He lifeted 250lbs reels all day long for about 16 hours. He used the electrotheropy and it seemed to work well. Then they got him a Teng Unit (i think i spelled that correctly) and he really likes it. It sends electric volts into his back at which ever rate he wants that soothes the pain. And it helps his back a lot. To the point he can do a lot during the day now, a lot more than he used to, at least. So, to answer your question, yes, it does work.

Tens machines work well. The idea being to disrupt the electrical signals, travelling to the brain, telling it that you are feeling pain.
Lots of women prefer this as a form of pain relief during labour. That many women can't be wrong.

Stick your finger in the plug socket while filming it on a web cam so we can all find out.
