Give me a break. lemme analyse this for you from points to points. All France had is Zidane. You'll see for yourself that when Zinadine Zidane is gone, I don't ever think that France would make it to the world cup semi-final. Zidane is the spirit of of French team, you see majorities of goals or scores were passed by Zidane to someone and that player did a simple job, kick the ball in. In another word, he's the architech of the team. Which means that the French team is very unbalance. Not the whole team is strong. For example, the defensive line was weak, eventough Barthez is one of the most talented goalkeeper out there. Speaking of the German team, now THEY'RE balance in all positions. Extrememly sharp offensive line, Michael Ballack and.. what's the other dude's name? chloe? something like that, He's Polish decent by the way... not German.. Yes, the German team consisted of many young players, not as many veterans as the French team. It's proven that Germany scored the most goals in the world cup did they? yes they did. When you pay close attention to the German attack, you can see that it's very speedy, accurate, QUICK and precise finishes. My vote goes to the German team. But I have to admitt that they deserve the lost to Italy that semi-final game though. You can't pass the Italian defense, it's the Italian tradition to have good D. Germany put up hell of a good match though.

I'd say Germany. They were inspired by the home crowd, and despite that disappointing loss to an an experienced Italian side, they more than made up for it with a big 3-1 win over Portugal for third place. Watch out for them in South Africa 2010. A more experienced and mature Podolski will be deadlier 4 years from now.

I think it is France..perhaps people would say that France had an easy way to the final, but what about Brazil?? they are ranked as the top football team..so things are not really easy for France..based on the rank,France played so much better than Germany, that's why they are ranked higher than Germany..no offense to Germany fans..just my simple opinion..

Germany played better but more rough and dishonestly.
Les Blues were the most civilised, peaceful players, and were almost as good too (except for a glitch in the finals :-P)
So, honestly, I think France was better.

Germany played way better teams than france did. France had the easy way in and should have not been in the last game.

France. They missed winning WC 2006 merely because of Penalty shootout!
