Being polygamous is not wrong or right. The behavior is culture based. Depending on ones upbringing, a man may be monogamous. In the USA it is customary for man (or the woman) to have one partner at one time. It is okay to have more than one relationship as long as you break off with one before taking on the other.

I believe, though my wife does not that man is capable of being polygamous by design. If you look at the ability of man being able to impregnate a different female multiple times daily. . .and the female only able to become pregnant by one male and is out of commission for many months. . .logic would have it that polygamy is natural for the male, if he wished to spread his DNA and insure his immortality much more proficiently than a woman can. . .then nature had a reason to allow this to occur.

In other forms of life, it is the male that insures his DNA is spread by whatever means nature gave him. . including in a very promiscuous group of monkeys where everyone is having sex with everyone else. . .the sperm battles it out inside the female, insuring the stronger line of the DNA survives.

So, I believe that we have religion, morals and laws that may say one should be monogamous. . but in reality, nature wants us to "live on past our lives" as best we can. . even if it means planting seeds in as many fields as possible. . .where as women, will have their DNA survive, as she knows for sure when she gives birth. . it is her DNA in that offspring.

Men are simply trying to survive. . .even though the culture tells them to ACT differently.

I hope this helps. . .

There is an old saying that goes: "A man is like a bee, it's his nature to fly from flower to flower."
There's a reason it's an OLD saying...it just doesn't apply anymore.

But, I disagree that they're polygamous by nature...what man do you know that wants to support more than one household...what you're talking about is infidelity, and there's a big difference. Polygamy is something agreed to by all parties, if you don't agree with it it's not polygamy it's infidelity.

You answered yourself, "coz they try to show that they're MEN". But that's partial truth. They look for girlfriends, but not all girlfriends are loyal to their bf. And that's the case in both genders. But you know what, a man reaches his climax earlier than females. Got it? So after climax, the passion runs down and he looks around for fresh meat, although it's very bad of him. A girl has the ability to orgasm many times, unlike man who reaches peak twice or thrice at best. So this brief period of orgams sums up the psyche of both males and females.

Man is the most unreliable person in the world. Take this from a man!!

For the same reason why a lot of women are polygamous in nature. Stop being sexist.

They would want every one of their sperm to start a baby. It is only possible with multiple women. This is why they might be polygamous by nature. But they might be monogamous by choice.

It is women who are polygamous are more likely to be unsatisfied and possibly looking for a "replacement".

My husband is quite content in our monogamous relationship .... A while back I jokingly mentioned how nice it would be to have another wife for him, so she could do some of the cooking laundry and such..... He turned white and began to stutter about how he could only handle one wife at a time nagging him to mow the lawn.... Eventually he calmed down and realized I was joking ...

Thank God he was on crutches (Broken Leg) or I never would have caught up to him to tell him it was a joke... LOL

this is going to sound crazy but research on monkeys and gorillas and humans have found that the bigger the male testicles are the more they mate cause they make more sperm the smaller the testicles are they make less sperm therefore they do not mate as much so if you want a guy that aint going to cheat on you, your best bet would be to make sure he has small testicles LOL just uselses info

You answered your own question with the phrase, "by nature". Now, if you just want to complain that you can't keep your man at home, knock yourself out.

Most yes, all no. I'm not like that. It's like going grocery shopping. You have to pick out only the best fruit.
