I have read several comments on the I.M. situation in America.
I do believe there needs to be reform about this..but why do sooo
many people use the fact that some people are breaking the immigration law and
Spew so many racist remarks against mexican people .
I have heard so many stereotypical remarks on aol boards.
When racism is shown to black heritage..it is sooo spoken out against.
Why not all people?
Why don't people treat people like they would want their mom's or kids treated?
I am hispanic and have grown up in a very mixed neighborhood.
White, black, asian, hispanic and everyone looked out for each other.

I have some nerve whatever...You obviously can't read. I am talking about r-a-c-i-s-t remarks.ALL racist remarks.Did I not say I am for reform. I don't think Illegal immigrants should get a free ticket.
I am for example asking why is it ok to say ALL mexicans are criminals or ALL are stupid. A white person does something stupid or breaks the law does that mean it is right to label ALL whites by what he did?

I am not speaking out against the law or following the law. I DO think the borders should be protected.
I am talking about people stereotyping ALL mexicans to be against America or ALL mexicans being criminals.
Why can't SOME people just say "reform the border system and keep Illegals out"
without saying racist remarks like" all those people are killers, racist towards America, or they are the only thing wrong with this country"
If you have spoken your views on reforming the borders and laws in a educational,non-racist way ,then I am not speaking about you.

Using the fact that someone broke the law
doesn't give you the right to harm them does it?
But, that is what alot of people are expressing..like if illegals are less than human.
2 wrongs don't make a right.
You can keep stating facts of what some illegals have done but there are plenty of Americans that have broken the same laws(murder, theft, drunk driving).
I feel like many are hiding behind comments like"oh, it was an illegal who committed that crime.""we never do things like that"
Alot of so called"Americans" don't really care about this country.
How many citizens vote?volunteer? Donate items or time to our fellow Americans in need?
I think this goes for everyone..If you love this country ,act like it!
Don't make it worse by projecting hate..Debate facts ,yes.
Atleast show that you were raised well by your parents/Guardians

I don't like illegal immigration for a number of reasons, and I am not a racist. I have a lot of Hispanic friends, many of whom feel exactly as I do.
Like you, I deplore racist comments I see posted in this and other forums that touch on the subject. The reason we should fight illegal immigration is that it results in injustices for many people, especially those who illegally immigrate and who have to live in this country as fugitives.
I am a grandson of four immigrants. Two were German and two were Polish. Were the illegal immigrants German or Polish I would feel no different than I do about immigrants from Mexico, Asia or the Middle East.
We should look out for each other, and that includes protecting our borders.

If someone broke into your house, or residence, and stole things that rightfully belonged to you, would you give them a free pass as you are giving those that break into this country? I think not.
There is absolutely NOTHING racist about saying that we need to clamp down on illegal immigration. Since 99.99999% of those entering are coming in through Mexico, that is why we are targeting that specific area. Not everyone crossing into the US through Mexico is a Mexican, there are many people coming in from all over the world because it is our weakest point, and they are exploiting it. If they were pouring in over the border from Canada, we'd be talking about that.
Go down to Mexico and do exactly what these people coming in from Mexico are doing (protesting/rallying for equal rights, amnesty, and immediate citizenship). You would last roughly ten seconds before the Mexican police arrested you and threw you in jail for treason, and left you there to rot for the rest of your natural life.
The US is more than willing to give citizenship to nearly any person who lives in this world, so long as they follow the process correctly.
This situation CANNOT be compared to the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s, because these groups were already LEGALLY in theis country. However, these illegal immigrants are breaking the law. This cannot, and should not, be tolerated by ANY citizen of this country, now matter which way you lean politically.

There are lots of good people in the world, like the ones you talked about growing up with. Don't let the people around you get you down. Sometimes we seem to let the bad side of things overpower the good. That's all people want to talk about is how bad everything is. But in reality the U.S. I believe gets along pretty well...go to any Wal-Mart, mall, or playground.... sit on the bench and watch people. That's America in motion. All races, from all walks of life, livin' up the capitalism!! Don't take the words of those few people and turn it into everyone's words. That's true racist and prejudice.

I personally don't have anything against them; they are just trying to find a better life for themselves and a few of them seem to be very hard workers.
But they are breaking the law and there is a legal way of doing things that they should atleast try to follow.

I have never disrespected any people to my knowledge. My position has been that the Mexican people are protesting to the wrong government. They need to protest to their own government that won't create a system that lets them support their families at home. It's not fair to them that they have to sneak out of their country in order to support themselves, but the US is not the ones they should tell.

Maybe they are tired of the Illegals draining all of our resources away from the legal citizens (of every race). People who sneak in the country and live and work here illegally don't deserve the respect I would give to others. If they would like to live in the USA do it legally...

Your people are incredibly racist. Our US Congrssman is a mexican racist. You have some nerve commenting on people who are outraged that the Mexican invasion is winked at by Mexican Americans.
