Images there were automatically saved reside in the browser's cache

The following are brief instructions on how to delete cache and cookies.

Internet Explorer 6.x

On the menu bar Click Tools > Internet Options

Click the General Tab

In the Temporary Internet Files section, click on the Delete Files button.
(It is recommended that you check the 'Delete all offline content' when prompted)

Click Delete Cookies

Click OK to prompt to "Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files Folder"

You (I mean, your friend :) ) will have to clear the cache as mentioned by vadyk. Then do a search on files for image files with extensions like .jpg, jpeg, gif etc etc

the better question is how they got there!

but you can search for all ".jpg" or ".jpeg" files and weed out the ones you like...
