Simple, these cowardly sicko's would not appear on these talk shows if their faces were shown, maybe the benefit that the viewer receives is that he/she can give hind-sight into their sick minds, or maybe those who live close can recognize he/she and make it so he leaves the neighborhood.

I think most of these people are right...the show would be liable if anything happened to this guy/girl during or after the show.
And just like one guy said...like all Americans do...even sex offenders have rights.
With this Megan's Law site in California you can pretty much find out where the nearest one is located closest to you.
One problem about that site though is that they don't keep track of them...some registered offenders have a line underneath their pictures that say "may have relocated from this address".
Some of these guys/girls violate and don't register...and just move to another town...and all you have is their last known address.
I got two in my little town...one I knew of...the other was a suprise to me until a few nights ago when I looked at the web site!

Above are some good answers. I not real sure, but, I thought most States required a sex offender to register with local police and I was also under the impression they had to have a sign in their yard stating this. But, maybe that not happen. I have never seen a sign. But, I thought that was how it was supposed to work.

Have you heard of the guy in Maine who was killed by a nut last winter? He got his 15 year old girlfriend pregnant when he was 19. He was convicted of statutory rape and placed on the Maine sex-offender public website. They eventually married and her parents came to like their new son in law who they once had arrested. One day a nut came to their door and shot him right in front of her with a .45. The shooter later shot another sex offender and then himself. The police found a laptop that had accessed their website in his possesion.

1. It may have been a condition for him coming on the show.
2. It could have been for a more dramatic effect.
3. It has nothing to do with your question, but your pretty.

It depends who you mean by "they." State governments have online databases of sex offenders listed by location so you can find out if there are any in your area. This is a creation of what's called Megan's Law.

They did that bc they are responsible for him and he might of not wanted to be seen for his safety too. The trya banks show is responsible for him if anything would of happen to him bc they showed him and he got killed or beaten up that would of been the trya banks shows fault so that is probably why they did that to protect him and themselves and im sure he did not wanted to be shown and he does have that right not to show his face.

people like to be vigilantes and take justice into their own hands. i think it would be too dangerous for them (not that they don't deserve it) but they still have rights. sex offenders should be registered and if you really want to know who is one there is a website where you can find out who is registered in your neighborhood.

I think the person interviewed chose to remain annonomous and would more than likely not agreed to the interview if his identity wasnt kept secret.
