Higher education can only lead to a better life if you consider its rewards a worthwhile pursuit that have value to you.
There are many rewards to higher education. While it may not necessarily make you *smarter* (though in all probability it will), it will definitely make you think about things you've never thought about before, which is a reward in its own to me. Also, upon successful completion, new opportunities will be available to you that weren't before. Lastly, if material gain is something you consider worthwhile, it is invariably worthwhile. However, this does not necessarily mean you must have a four year degree to make a six digit income. It would only facilitate this goal. There are ways, though they are few, that involve making a lot of money without a four year degree. I've heard that some occupation in the ports of San Francisco makes $150,000 a year, and the education level required is minimal (if any, I can't remember, but it involves cranes so I imagine you better know something, lol).
Hope this helps. Someone said it depends on the kind of person you are. I think that's the best answer. I couldn't imagine my life without pursuing academics. However, there's certainly no one way to live life. Life isn't a game, it's one of the most important things I've learned. You don't gain "life-points" for going to college.
If you're at a point where you don't know what you want to do. Go to college anyways, and immerse yourself in as many experiences as you can.

Higher education doesn't promise happiness, but it can give you things which, for many people, make life easier. The lifetime earnings of a college graduate far exceed those of someone who doesn't go on after high school. And it makes you eligible for more options. If you only graduate from high school, your choices may be to work in fast food or as a security guard. If you go on for higher education, you could still do one of those jobs, if you really wanted to, but you would also have many more jobs available to you, and you can pick the one which will make you the happiest.

I think it could definitely be argued that, yes, it does. It is a fact that college graduates get better paying jobs than non-college graduates. In the United States, money and quality of life are often considered to have a direct correlation, so, yes, if you believe that having more money will improve your life, higher education will eventually get you a better life.

what do you think a better life is? If a person likes to have a job that doesn't include a college education, then that is a better life. I think a better life is making yourself more educated, and getting a job. It depends on the kind of person you are.

higher education only secure you a better possbibility of getting a higher paid job...
however, life is what you make out of it...
look at Bill Gates...he didn't study tht much...
but he made of use of opportunities to strike it big...
so better life is more attainable by peronal efforts than a higher education...

not if you are Bill Gates , who dropped out of college before he could afford to by the damned institution . But to rest of us we are stuck in the system that robs u blind before you begin ....
and yes your best bet is go along with the rapacious system of
higher learning for that much coveted position u will seek later on.
although it won't make u smart just ask Einstein or any other truly intelligent person it the means to the end

i think of they could desire to be allowed to attend community colleges, or any college they want to. right here in NC, they are able to attend college, yet ought to pay out of pocket 5 situations the out of state training value. Bloody high priced. in the event that they are able to try this, what distinction does it make? that's in comparison to they are making use of Pell provides, or scholarships that human beings could are growing to be!!!! Plus while they obtain their education that's in comparison to they are going to be competing with human beings for those jobs. they are unlawful and may be able to no longer produce the information mandatory to tutor they have the superb to artwork interior the U. S. that would tournament the call on their college degree. So why are human beings getting their panties in a knot? Are American that insecure approximately their own educations that they worry a Mexican getting a level, then them no longer with the flexibility to place it to stable use interior the U. S.? perhaps in the event that they get stable educations right here, they are going to return to their united states of america and attempt and strengthen issues. perhaps, in simple terms perhaps, in adequate time we can see a trickle down effect and greater illegals with US college educations making a distinction of their own worldwide places, consequently turning the unlawful immigration tide right here interior the U. S.. Has every physique stopped to think of how this could become a great element for the U. S.? I heavily doubt it! ~~Donna~~
