Is it possible to become dark or black by being in the sun?

OR do you reach a certain melanin/pigmentation in your skin that limits you to the color that you can reach?

you can reach a certain pigmentation because your skin produces so much melanin in your skin as well as keratin. if you were to produce all the melanin your body could then you would be black but everything, including the way our bodies are designed, especially when it comes to standingout in the sun puts a limit on how dark one person can get. if you stay longer you can get sun burned though, so your body has a self mechanism when it comes to the right amount of pigmentation to be released.

If done properly, most people could probably become dark enough that they could be mistaken for someone of a darker race, and yes, even black, although not likely a really DARK shade of black. I knew a white girl in high school whose family went to Hawaii for a week or so; when she returned and I saw her at school, I almost thought she was a new girl, and yes, she looked almost black to me!

However, this probably would be impossible for someone with a very fair complexion, as they tend to burn easily. Also, depending on how easily someone tans, some people would probably have to do it very gradually, taking most of the summer to get there.

Yes, you got it with the second sentence. It depends on your race, also if a person starts getting a tan very slow so they don't burn. When I used to work straight days and wouldn't get to the beach till evening and that went on all summer, I was getting the low evening sun and I got very dark that year because i did not burn and it is hard to believe I got darker than my dark skinned hungarian friend. I am very light skinned! So, depends on what you said and how you go about getting that skin tanned as well. After that one year, i believe the limits on how dark a light skinned person can get. hey, I want to add, if a person eats at least one sweet potato a day, you wouldn't believe the color enhancement it can give that tan!

first of all, you may desire to examine English and technology plenty greater durable. 2nd of all, the Moon isn't actual extraordinary, it merely reflects the gentle of the solar, that's why it reasons an eclipse whilst it passes between Earth and the solar (it blocks the gentle of the solar), and why the Moon is going dark whilst Earth passes between it and the solar (the Earth blocks the gentle from the solar that could routinely eliminate darkness from the Moon). So no, there is not any choose for dark Suns or black magic to describe it. Thridly, the gravitational effects of a 2nd 'dark' solar and Moon could render Earth uninhabitable.

If you live in a desert area, you can tan to a dark olive brown complexion, but you will never be black ; if you move out of the desert you will loose your tan after a while.
